Etsy training

On Saturday, Jan. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., join us for Esty Entrepreneurship Training. Are you a crafter or do you sell vintage items?  Have you always wanted to open an Etsy shop but didn't know how?  Now is the time.  Join us for this hands-on workshop that will give you the basics of setting up and selling your wares on Etsy.  Leah Lafera has over 18 years of small business and teaching experience. She is a certified Etsy craft entrepreneurship trainer and has taught both business and hands-on craft programs at public libraries in upstate New York.  This workshop is appropriate for crafters and sellers of vintage items ages 20 and over.  Registration is required and limited.  Light refreshments will be served.

Film screening

On Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m., there will be a screening of the film “When Voices Meet”.  There is also a question, and, answer session with Sharon Katz.  

Concert

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, join us for a concert with Sharon Katz. Katz was born in Port Elizabeth, now known as Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa back in 1992, and made history in her home country of South Africa when she formed the country’s first-ever 500-member multi-cultural and multi-lingual performing group and staged the production called “When Voices Meet.”

These events are made possible, in part, with public funds from the Decentralization Program and the New York State Council on the Arts, administered through the Community Arts Grants Program by the Greene County Council on the Arts. Please use the back entrance.

Portraiture and life drawing

On Thursdays Nov. 5 and 12 at 7 p.m. join Joel Braemer as he teaches about the art of figure drawing. Please note only a few emergency materials will be provided so look at the list below for what students need to bring:
 Newsprint pad 12 x 18, preferably larger (typically less than $10); charcoal pencils, variety of soft, medium, hard (typically less than $10); art smock or clothes that are acceptable to get dirty.
