ALTAMONT — A devoted family man, Rocco “Rocky” Fallone knew how to fix just about anything.

“His strongest characteristic was a sense of persistence,” said his son, John Fallone. “In the dictionary, there should be a picture of Rocky next to the word ‘persistence.’”

Like the princes of Serindip, an Airedale walker makes some unexpected discoveries one wintry day.

“Santa’s here, Santa’s here!” screamed the children gathered by the train track in Altamont as Santa rolled into town, culminating the annual Victorian Holiday Celebration. Inside the boxcar, tots whispered their wishes to the jolly old elf.

Agawum Lane, on the shoulder of the Helderberg escarpment, could become the site for a cell tower in Altamont.

Altamont adopted its first law of 2013 to increase its sewer fees.

The fastest man and woman earned double crowns in the last leg of the inaugural Hilltown Triple Crown Series.

Police Chief Todd Pucci said a plea deal offering Kevin R. Willsey six months in jail for three felonies is fair since Willsey, an Altamont mechanic, had no prior arrests. Pucci said Willsey was a chop-shop  "customer."
