Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

It was such a sad story in last week’s Altamont Enterprise to read about the closing of Greulich’s Market after 60 years in business, due to a tax issue.

Where is our governor now with all of his big tax-break incentives to do business in this state?  It is simply a joke!

To the Editor:

The quilts of Knox have been displayed, scrutinized, exclaimed over, and admired, and are now safely returned to their owners. The quilt show Sunday, on Aug. 3, sponsored by the Knox Historical Society and the Helderberg Quilt Barn Trail, drew 125 visitors from nearby and out of state.

To the Editor:

The Town of Berne Historical Society would like to express its heartfelt thanks to all the folks who enthusiastically embraced our journey into the world of quilting with the Aug. 3 quilt show event in Berne and Knox.

To the Editor:

The high school exchange students who were at Guilderland High School and at Clayton A. Bouton High School in Voorheesville have returned to their home countries, but they will long be a part of the lives of many in our communities.
