Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, March 2, 2022

The  Third Thursday Book Club is reading “Normal People” by Sally Rooney.

The Guardian has this to say about the book: “Published in 2018 and longlisted for a Booker prize in the same year, Sally Rooney’s tale of fractured hearts and minds crosses class structure and Ireland from the west coast to Dublin.”

The book club will meet March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day!) at 6 p.m. in the Westerlo Library.

STEAM ahead

March’s theme for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) take-and-makes is Engineering Challenges. There are new kits every week. Homework Help packets are still available too.  If there are any topics you need help with, email .

March Spice

Take-and-Make

The March spice is cloves. Pick up a sample and three recipes at the library. This month’s recipes are Simple Chickpea Curry with Rice, Best Moist Orange Zucchini Bread, and Brazilian Roasted Pork.

The future

The Westerlo Library is conducting a survey to plan for the future. We want to know what you like about the library, and what we can improve on. It is available on our website (westerlolibrary.org) and on the library Facebook page as well as on good old paper. Stop in, have a warm drink, and fill one out.  We really want to know!

Community Room
