Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, February 9, 2022

Over the winter break from school, the Hilltown libraries are presenting a virtual program with 4-H about polar science. There are four programs from Feb. 22 to 25 at 2 p.m. each day via Zoom. Kits are available to do the program independently. Email to register for the program.

STEAM ahead

February’s theme for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) take-and-makes is bugs. There are new kits every week. Homework Help packets are still available too.

Planning

for the future

The Westerlo Library is conducting a survey to plan for the future. We want to know what you like about the Library, and what we can improve on. It is available on our website (westerlolibrary.org) and the Library Facebook page as well as good old paper.  Stop in, have a warm drink and fill one out.  We really want to know!

Third Thursday

Book Club

The Book Club is reading “Daisy Jones &The Six” by Taylor Jenkins Reid. “Daisy Jones & The Six is a gripping novel about the whirlwind rise of an iconic 1970s rock group and their beautiful lead singer, revealing the mystery behind their infamous break up. It was the Goodreads Choice 2019 winner.” The book club will meet Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. in the library.

February Spice

Take-and-Make

The February spice is paprika. Pick up a sample and three recipes at the library. This month’s recipes are simple weeknight soup, best roasted cabbage steaks, and paprika bacon skillet chicken.
