Voorheesville Library Notes for Wednesday, August 3, 2022

How can you paint the rhythm of a drum or the sound of a piano? Join us at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, for a live zoom tour and workshop where we will explore the ways in which modern artists such as Pollock, Matisse, Bearden, and others were inspired by the Jazz Age.

Following a presentation and tour of the barn studio, we’ll work alongside an educator from the Jackson Pollock estate as she demonstrates techniques for creating abstract art inspired by music. Have paint, drawing, or collage supplies on hand. Please register.

Plaster Keepsakes

Join local artist Megan Viscio at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, as we learn how to make clay molds and plaster castings of your baby’s hands and feet. We will be using materials such as clay, plaster, play dough, and wood to mount your final piece. For ages 0-30 months with a caregiver. Please register.

Grab & Go for Adults
