A financial workshop for women will be presented by Marisa Rothstein, JD, CFP, AEP, financial advisor on Thursday, on May 27 at noon via Zoom. Women face unique financial challenges and goals.

Historic Voorheesville

Walking Tour

Celebrate Voorheesville's fascinating past with village history guide, Dennis Ulion. This 1.5-hour walking tour will begin at St. Matthew’s Church at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 14, and take us to various locations throughout the Village. Registration is required, and limited to 10 people. Attendees must follow all current COVID safety guidelines.

Social Security

Join Marisa Rothstein, JD, CFP, AEP on Friday, April 23, at noon for this virtual presentation about Social Security. Changes in the workplace and retirement savings have made it more important than ever to make informed decisions about Social Security. By sharing tools and resources, we will show participants how to get the answers they need to make more confident decisions about their Social Security benefits and their financial security in retirement. Mailchimp

Join trainer Nate Heyer on Thursday, April 29 at 7 p.m. to learn how to use Mailchimp for Email Marketing! This session will be held online via GoToMeeting. Please register online, using links on the library calendar. This class is provided by the Upper Hudson Library System.

Preschool story time

No registration is needed, and the video link will be available on the Library website and social media sites, to view at your convenience. Families of preschoolers can pick up a free take & make bag at the library each week, from Tuesday-Saturday. The bag will include the storytime thematic art activity of the week.

— Talk and Taste Cookbook Club – Thursday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m.: “Any Cookbook” by Vegan Author Nava Atlas; and

— Middle School Book Club (grades 6-8) – Wednesday, May 26, at 4 p.m.: “Roll with It” by Jamie Sumner.

Limited copies of the book are available for $5, compliments of the Friends of the Library. Library copies will also be available for checkout and downloadable ebook and audiobook versions are on Overdrive.
