Middleburgh Library Notes for Wednesday, January 5, 2022

“Things That Go” will be the theme of the 10:45 a.m. storytime at the Middleburgh Library on Jan. 11.

In-person, indoor preschool storytimes are back! This week, we will read books about trucks and trains, and all things that go! Enjoy this theme-based, multi-age story time with an emphasis on early literacy and go home with a coloring sheet or take home craft for your little one.

Masks are required inside the library regardless of vaccination status for anyone over the age of 2. Registration is required. Register online here:

Mahjong

On Jan.11 from 1 to 4 p.mm. Join us for Mahjong in our Community Room. Mahjong or mah-jongg is a tile-based game that was developed in the 19th Century in China and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th Century. Come join our friendly group of players for a fun afternoon of conversation and Mahjong. Never played? Not a problem! They are happy to teach you. Meet in the Community Room. No registration required.

Book Discussion

On Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. we will discuss "Squeeze Me" by Carl Hiaasen. A hilarious novel of social and political intrigue, set against the glittering backdrop of Florida's gold coast. Carl Hiaasen can brighten even the darkest of days and Squeeze Me is pure, unadulterated Hiaasen. Irreverent, ingenious, and highly entertaining, Squeeze Me perfectly captures the absurdity of our times.

Please check our calendar on our website at www.middleburghlibrary.info for future programs.  Also, don't forget our Facebook page.

Masks are now required for everyone coming into the library.  Vaccinated or Unvaccinated.  Thank you.
