Doghiker author talks

and signs his books

Happy trails — and tails!  We’re hosting an in-person book talk and signing with local author Alan Via on Thurs. June 30 at 6:30 p.m.  His trailblazing book, “Doghiker: Great Hikes with Dogs from the Adirondacks through the Catskills,” is more than a comprehensive guidebook detailing 77 outstanding places to hike; it’s also a dog owner’s operating manual and tool kit. Alan will cover key points of his book, then take us on a slideshow tour of gorgeous hiking scenery with canine companions.

“Doghiker” is a must-have New York State hiker's manual, even if you don’t have a dog. Copies of the book, signed and personalized by the author, will be available for purchase. Please register on the Events tab of our website for this special event.
