New year, new resolutions, new books, new hours. As 2019 launches, the Berne Public Library will be cutting the ribbon on four extra hours for your library browsing pleasure.

The last full week of 2018 is here and school is on vacation for a wee bit. A short week at the Berne Public Library hatches as the “open flag” remains tucked away on Dec. 24 and 25.

Festive happenings are all a chitter at the Berne Public Library.

A swaggle of activities is in the works in Berne for the upcoming Library Week. Ongoing, since September, is the 36er Expedition, which has been extended to the end of December.

Those Knit Wits are pulling in for their monthly yarn meet at 7 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the Berne Library.

“Buildings, Business & Happenings — Bits of Berne History.” Hats off to the new display taking up residence on the community room’s art wall.

A lasagne dinner baked by the Friends of the Berne Library has your seat ready at the Berne Senior Center on Saturday, Nov. 3, with one seating, at 5:30 p.m.

Last week, after hearing the tale of Dave, a local recovering zombie, we learned his main concern was getting through the Halloween feast. Just a few more days, Dave. Just a few more days.

A new display has landed on the south wall of the community room at the Berne Public Library.
