Thank you all for your loyalty, trust, and confidence

To the Editor:
I am writing this as an open letter to my valued patients.

After 32 years in clinical practice here in Altamont, I have decided it is time for me to move forward to the next phase of my life, and I will be retiring as an active dentist. In truth, this was a very difficult decision, as many of you have been a cherished part of my professional career for a very long time.

I certainly hope that our doctor-patient relationship has enabled you and your families to achieve an excellent level of dental health, and that I have lived up to your expectations.

Dr. Stuart Fass, my trusted partner for these past 32 years, will continue with his active role in the practice and provide great care to our patients. Moreover, Dr. Nicole Shen, who joined our practice in August, will be taking my place and will continue the long tradition of high quality dental care for our patients.

Dr. Shen received both her bachelor of science and master of science degrees in health sciences from McMaster University, and her doctor of dental medicine degree from the McGill University School of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences. She then completed a general dental residency program at St. Peter’s Hospital, where she focused on the full scope of comprehensive dental treatment.

Dr. Shen truly believes in patient-centered care, working with patients to choose the best course of treatment to properly suit their individual needs and desires. Her keen eye for detail and her desire for excellence ensures that you will feel confident in her care. You are in great hands!

I want to thank you all for your loyalty, trust, and confidence over these past many years. It has been a sincere pleasure and tremendous honor to have taken care of you and your families, and I hope that I have served you well. My last official day will be Oct. 21, 2022. I will truly miss you all!

My best wishes to all of you for a future filled with health, happiness, humor, and hope.

Adam A. Edwards, DDS
