Pet food drive was a huge success

To the Editor:

A special thank-you to all those who made our Second Annual Joel Edwards Memorial Pet Food Drive a huge success. You donated 12 cans and 298 pounds of dry dog food, and 160 cans and 74 pounds of dry cat food!

Cindy Edwards sent her special thank you — “to those donating in Joel’s memory to a cause near and dear to both our hearts: helping those in need regardless if they be human or animal!”

We, at the Altamont Reformed Church, were able to donate the pet food to the Guilderland Animal Shelter and to both the Altamont and Guilderland food pantries. We truly commend and thank you for your generosity.
