Christopher Weston

GUILDERLAND — Christopher Weston, whose family called him a gentle soul, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014.

The beloved son of Edward and Virginia Weston, he enjoyed spending time with his family and working on his remote-control cars.

“He is now at peace,” wrote his family in a tribute. “He will be greatly missed by his large extended family.”

His family also wrote “Please hug your child or sibling today and never forget to tell them that you love them.”

The family gives special thanks to the Fort Hunter firemen and Guilderland Police, who, over the years, they wrote, “have come to understand Chris’s battle and shown him their compassion and caring for him, and being there for his family.”

In addition to his parents, Mr. Weston is survived by his sister, Melissa Leininger, and her husband, Scott, and his brother Michael Weston, and his wife, Emily, of Guilderland. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service was held on Oct. 7 at the New Comer Cannon Funeral Home in Colonie. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, at 99 Pine St., Suite 302, Albany, NY 12207 or at www.naminys.org.
