Fairies and tigers and pumpkins — oh, my! The Kids’ Club held a Spooktacular event on Sunday with children racing a mile and grownups running five kilometers.  The littlest, at far left, is Liddy Bresslin, 5; the tiger is Paige Kemmer, 9 — both from Voorheesville. The winners of the 5K were Kellen Chowenhill, 15, of Voorheesville with a time of 18:29, and Beth Ruiz, 43, of Delmar with a time of 20:52. The event raised funds for the not-for-profit Kids’ Club, which runs before- and after-school child-care programs at Voorheesville.

A butterfly flutters by during the costume parade Sunday at Voorheesville Elementary School. Alexia Orietas, 5, looks out from the sparkled wings of her mask. She won a prize for being the cutest.
