Balloons and banners were part of the festivities last Thursday afternoon, March 26, as Guilderland Elementary School teachers paraded, in their cars, through neighborhoods where their students live.

Students who miss their teachers — like 6-year-old Luka Jones, standing with his sister, Jada, and their friend, Melissa Killian — waved as their teachers rolled by. Some displayed special signs they'd made for the occasion.
