ALTAMONT — Rose M. Martin is remembered by her children as a woman who never had a bad word to say about anyone and who taught them to be kind. 

Mrs. Martin “passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, with her loving family by her side,” her family wrote in a tribute. She was 90. 

KNOX — Betty (née Pugh) Rocker, a mother of four children who lived in Knox for a decade, died in Falls Church, Virginia on July 1, 2019. She was 94,

 She was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Feb. 27, 1925, and grew up there.

Clinton J. “Jack” Milner 

WESTERLO — Clinton J. Milner, known to all as “Jack,” was a man who knew how to make things with his hands, said his wife of 40 years, Nancy Quay Milner. He was a skilled hunter, a craftsman, and a talented pool builder, she said. 

ALTAMONT — Rose M. Hirst, who, her family said, was a natural caretaker, and a beloved and devoted wife, died on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was 75.

Born on March 2, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Bertha Tubbs.

VOORHEESVILLE — Sylvia Jacobson was a woman of “wit, wisdom, and wonder,” an all-around interesting person who never lost her zest for living, said her daughter Joyce Jacobson.
