Monday, Sept. 14, was a busy day. I had ordered a load of stone for my driveway. I wasn’t used to ordering stone as Ray had taken care of it, the last time.

Labor Day was a 90-degree day, hot and humid. Both of my knees had ached all night and most of the day yesterday. I thought maybe I had dehydrated because I sat around Danny’s pond all day Saturday watching Samson, Nichole, and Iain swim and then again on Sunday afternoon; it was hot and I didn’t bring water with me.

The other night, my husband was in the back room watching television. I wandered into the room and asked, “What are you watching?” Usually I could tell what was on the schedule and knew what to expect as an answer.
