WEST BERNE — Perry Jack Anderson, a pioneer in non-destructive atomic testing and a community leader, died on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014. He was 83.

MEDUSA — Described by his family as a loving father and adoring grandfather, Arthur C. Pizzigati was an Army veteran who worked as a craftsman and salesman. He died unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014.

GUILDERLAND — Salvatore R. Dinovo, better known as Bob, a United States Navy veteran and long-time member of the Westmere Fire Department, died on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. He was 78.

Mr. Dinovo was born in Albany, the son of the late August and Rose Sgarlata Dinovo. He lived in Guilderland all of his life.

ALTAMONT — Patricia A. Grant, a woman who dedicated her life to making others happy, died on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. She was 60.

Mrs. Grant was born on March 4, 1954, to the late Edward and Mickey (née Civitello) Rozell.

NEW SCOTLAND — Marion Wright Raymond, a woman who spent her life caring for the people and world around her, died from heart failure on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at Hospicare of Thompkins County. She was 93.

EAST BERNE — Beverly Simmons liked to think of herself as a “tough broad,” her family said, and, in her last years, she needed to be.

Following a long illness, Beverly (née Kelsch) Simmons died peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014. She was 60.

Eugene R. Lemmerman, a man who gave the world and his family a legacy of service, faith, and love through example, died on Monday, July 28, 2014, after a brief illness, surrounded by family.  He was 89.
