Holiday Cheer Raffle helps school and community

To the Editor:
The Voorheesville Community & School Foundation is excited to announce its 2021 fundraiser!

But first, a quick recap of our year. We diverted a bit in February to focus on our Spreading Smiles campaign to support our community during these unusual times. Hopefully, you spotted a smile or two that brightened your day.

While smiling, we were able to support several projects throughout the year. Among them were the repairs at the Voorheesville Elementary School’s Blackbird Paradise Garden, the new disc course at Stephen Wallace Park on Swift Road, as well as activity books for our senior community.

The Second Annual VCSF Holiday Cheer Raffle is an online raffle that began Nov. 1 and will run until Dec. 1, with an independent drawing from our raffle site vendor, Chance2Win, on Dec. 2. The raffle features five fabulous prize packages sure to make you or anyone on your holiday shopping list incredibly happy, including a Weber smoker, a Solo Stove fire pit, a getaway to Smugglers Notch in Vermont, a Yeti cooler filled with local beverages, and a Disney on Ice outing for the family.

Each raffle package is valued at more than $400 and ticket prices are $20 for one, $50 for three, $100 for seven, and $250 for 18. Details can be found on our website, vcsfoundation.com; our Facebook page, as well as the dedicated raffle website at https://vcsf.basketraffle.org.

The raffle wouldn’t be possible without Ballston Spa National Bank, which partnered with us to offer you many of the spectacular prizes. We also received donations from several local businesses and community members, all of whom are listed in the raffle descriptions. We are incredibly grateful for their support!

Now we need your support, community! Get your Holiday Cheer Raffle tickets today and help support the Voorheesville Community & School Foundation’s ability to fund as many exceptional projects as possible in the coming year.
