WFD holds chili cookoff and vendor fair

To the Editor:

Do you think you make the best chili?

Then why not put it to the test against other chili makers as the Westmere Fire Department is hosting its first annual chili cookoff on Nov. 18 from noon to 4 p.m.

It costs $10 to enter, $5 to taste. Judges will pick the top three starting at 3 p.m. and there’s a people's choice award, picked by the people!

To enter, send an email to mkoff77257@aol.com. More information is on the Westmere Fire Department Facebook page.

There will also be a vendor fair at the station from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. put on by the Westmere Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary. The station is located at 1741 Western Ave. in Guilderland.
