Westerlo has never been like this in all my years here

To the Editor:
I am writing about the Westerlo town election on Nov. 7. I am not involved in any town committees or government and am typically not a politically outspoken person, but this election is especially important!

Never has it been more important to re-elect two candidates than this election and that is why I am supporting the re-election of Supervisor Matt Kryzak and Councilwoman Amie Burnside. Never has Westerlo been so financially strong, had more activities going on for all ages, and had more improvements completed.

Our taxes are not seeing great hikes because of the way they manage money. This year’s tentative budget barely shows any increase, with a proposed 0.03 increase. (Less than last year’s taxes.)

The town was able to purchase two desperately needed trucks and a loader for the highway department without incurring any more debt. Our playgrounds are finally being looked after and improved. There is also the start of some programs for seniors here too! Westerlo has never been like this in all my years here.

Both Amie and Matt have been so committed to this town — on a personal and professional level. They are dedicated and hardworking and truly have the best interests of all Westerlo residents and the town as a whole in mind.
