Knox Historical Society presents talks on solar and history of Hilltown churches

To the Editor:
The Knox Historical Society will have its first speaker this summer on Sunday, July 9, from 2 to 4 p.m.   David Whipple will speak about the first and only solar farm so far in Knox that was built in 2017 on land that has been in his family for eight generations. The event will be held at the Knox Town Hall at 2192 Berne-Altamont Road.

The Saddlemire Homestead museum located in front of the town hall will be open after the talk. The home was built in 1885 and is a museum packed with many interesting exhibits regarding the history of the town of Knox. Refreshments will be served.

Another talk is scheduled for Sunday, July 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. Reverend Jay Francis will talk about the various churches that have been in the towns of Knox and Berne throughout the years. This program will be on the porch of the Saddlemire Homestead museum.

Please join us for these events on July 9 and July 30.
