Awards and achievements

These local students have recently distinguished themselves:
 

— Stefanie DeFronzo of Voorheesville, was awarded the Walter F. and Alice Gorham Foundation, Inc. Prize in Jewish Studies at Drew University in New Jersey;

— Daniel Callahan of Schenectady, developed an original project titled "Make Your Money Upset and You Will Have Nothing to Invest: How Humanizing Money and Facial Emotion Affect Financial Risk Taking" under the guidance of Chien-Wei [Wilson] Lin (Management, Marketing & Information Systems) at State University of New York Oneonta;

— Alexandria Collum of Schenectady, developed an original project titled "Is Climate Change effecting the Spotted Salamander's (Ambystoma maculatum) Migratory Breeding Patterns?" under the guidance of Tyra Olstad (Geography & Environmental Sustainability) and Elizabeth Bastiaans (Biology) at State University of New York Oneonta; 

— Therese Lyons of Delmar, developed an original project titled "The Relationship Between the Local Air Quality and Game Outcomes in the National Football League" under the guidance of Kpoti Kitissou and Michael McAvoy (Economics, Finance & Accounting) at State University of New York Oneonta; 

— Matt Bernhard of Voorheesville, majoring in Biomedical Sciences at State University of New York Plattsburgh, was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, with a grade point average of 4.0; and

— Morgan Gillies of Slingerlands, received James J. Duane III Student Life Leadership Award in Spring 2020 at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
