Guilderhaven had a busy year and is grateful for community support

To the Editor:
Guilderhaven is delighted to welcome Mary Gene Tanski, a lifelong advocate for animal welfare, to our board. She is a retired paralegal who strongly believes in improving the quality of life for animals through spaying and neutering programs, medical care, food assistance, and education.

We had a very busy year in 2023. We facilitated the spaying of 145 female cats and the neutering of 165 male cats as well as spaying or neutering 22 dogs.

Jean Simmons handled 101 wildlife calls in 2023. She is already busy this year with baby squirrels and chipmunks.

As we near our 25th year of service, we want to thank our community for their continued support.
