Love each other like there is no tomorrow

To the Editor:

I am writing today in an attempt to express my heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from this community upon the death of my beautiful spouse, best friend, and soulmate, Chris Marshall. Chris loved this village and worked each and every day with Mayor Jim Gaughan and the rest of the village trustees to make it the close-knit community it is today.

Her love for this village and our friends here came back to her family and me tenfold. That love and support from each of you continues to amaze me. It is said that you get what you give, and, because of what Chris gave, I am, the perhaps undeserving, but thankful recipient of that love being given back — a reflection of the love Chris gave to all of you.

Chris was truly a wonderful person, with a loving caring heart and soul. I will never get over her loss, no one will ever fill the void left in my life, but knowing that all she did, all she was, and all she tried every day to do has, perhaps, made a difference in your lives, helps to ease my pain.

So, in conclusion, thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless and keep you all safe and healthy. Be kind.  Love each other like there is no tomorrow.
