Participate in boosting the public good

To the Editor:
One of the signals of spring is the annual Altamont Green and Clean.

Last year, the community was back at it, cleaning and greening after the pandemic interrupted our annual event for one year.

For the year 2022, Altamont Community Tradition once again invites everyone in the village to come out, meet your neighbors, and engage in a cooperative spring cleaning and sprucing up of our wonderful parks, as well as your own yards.

We’ll be meeting at Orsini Park in the heart of the village at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. Join us — we’ll provide garden waste bags and coffee; you bring your garden gloves and favorite gardening tools.

Keith Lee, who regularly volunteers his time creating and maintaining many of the public green spaces around the village, will be coordinating our efforts.

It’s sure to be a fine time in the sunshine. Come on out, participate in boosting the public good.
