NOTICE OF BOND RESOLUTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a resolution, a summary of which is published herewith has been adopted by the Town Board of the Town of New Scotland, Albany County, New York (the “Town”), on the 10th day of April, 2024. Such resolution was adopted subject to permissive referendum and the period of time has elapsed for the submission and filing of a petition for such referendum without a valid petition having been submitted and filed, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if:
(1) (a) such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Town of New Scotland is not authorized to expend money, or
(b) if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the date of publication of this notice; or
(2) such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution of New York.
SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION
The following is a summary of a resolution adopted by the Town Board of the Town of New Scotland on April 10, 2024. Said resolution authorizes the issuance and sale of a serial bond or bonds and a bond anticipation note or notes in anticipation of the issuance and sale of said serial bonds, in an amount not to exceed $180,000. The proceeds from the sale of the obligations authorized in said resolution shall be used for the specific purpose of financing the acquisition of one (1) excavator and related equipment at an estimated maximum cost of $180,000 and having a period of probable usefulness of fifteen (15) years. A copy of the resolution summarized herein is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Office of the Town Clerk located in the Town Hall, Slingerlands, New York.

LEGAL NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Town of Rensselaerville will hold a Public Hearing on April 18, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Town Hall, 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY on a proposed Minor Subdivision for Ashley Carmichael, 90 Bates Lane, Preston Hollow, NY 12469 (Tax Map 181.-1-17.10). The applicant is proposing to subdivide a 156.26+- acre lot into one 151.26+- acre lot and one 5.0+- acre lot.
All those interested in this proposal will be provided with the full opportunity to be heard on the date of the Public Hearing.  Persons wishing to appear at such hearing may do so in person or by attorney or other representative.  Documents in support of this proposal are available for inspection at the Rensselaerville Town Hall.
Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Planning Board or at such hearing.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING, BUDGET AND PROPOSITION VOTE, AND ELECTION WITH VOTER REGISTRATION OF THE BERNE-KNOX-WESTERLO CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, TOWN OF BERNE, COUNTY OF ALBANY, NEW YORK 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Education of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District, Albany County, New York, that a public hearing of the qualified voters of said school district will be held at the Elementary School Building, in said District, in the village of Berne, New York, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 7:00 P.M., Daylight Savings Time for the presentation of the budget document for the 2024-25 fiscal year. 
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 1716 of the Education Law, that a copy of the statement of the amount of money which will be required for the ensuing year for school purposes may be obtained by any qualified voter in the District during the fourteen (14) days immediately preceding the Budget Vote at the following location between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.: District Office, Berne, New York 
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the voting upon the appropriation of the necessary funds to meet the estimated expenditures and/or on propositions involving the expenditure of money to authorize the levy of taxes shall take place at the Elementary School Building on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. 
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 2004 of the Education Law, that petitions nominating candidates for the Office of Member of the Board of Education must be filed with the Clerk of the District between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. no later than, April 22, 2024, the 30th day preceding the Annual School District Meeting or election at which the candidates so nominated shall be elected, and that such election and voting upon the appropriation of funds shall constitute the Annual School District Meeting. The following vacancy is to be filled on the Board of Education: One Three-Year Term Commencing 7/1/24 and Ending 6/30/27. Each petition must be directed to the Clerk of the Board of Education, must be signed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District, or two (2) percent of the voters who voted in the 2023 election whichever is greater, shall state the name and residence of the candidate. Petition forms are available at the Office of the Clerk of the District, 1738 Helderberg Trail, Berne, NY 12023. Voting for the election of Candidates for the Office of Member of the Board of Education will take place at the Elementary School Building on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. 
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to Chapter 258 of the Laws of Section 2008, Section 495 was added to the Real Property Tax Law and requires the School District to attach to its proposed budget an exemption report. Said exemption report, which will also become part of the final budget, will show how much the total assessed value on the final assessment roll used in the budgetary process is exempt from taxation, list every type of exemption granted, identify by statutory authority, and show: (a) the cumulative impact of each type of exemption expressed either as a dollar amount of assessed value or as a percentage of the total assessed value on the roll; (b) the cumulative amount expected to be received from recipients of each type of exemption as payments in lieu of taxes or other payments for municipal services; and (c) the cumulative impact of all exemptions granted. The exemption report shall be posted on any bulletin board maintained by the District for public notices and on any website maintained by the District. 
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that personal registration of voters is required either pursuant to Section 2014 of New York State Education Law or pursuant to Article 5 of the New York State Election Law. If a voter has heretofore registered pursuant to Section 2014 of the New York State Education Law and has voted at any annual or special district meeting within the past four (4) calendar years, such voter is eligible to vote at this election; if a voter is registered and eligible to vote pursuant to Article 5 of the New York State Election Law, such voter is also eligible to vote at this election. All other persons who wish to vote must register. Applications can be obtained at  https://www.dmv.ny.gov/more-info/electronic-voter-registration-application or at the Office of the Clerk of the District, 1738 Helderberg Trail, Berne, NY 12023. 
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that applications for absentee ballots may be applied for at the office of the Clerk of the District. If the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, the completed application must be received by the District no later than 3:00 P.M. on May 14, 2024. If the ballot is to be delivered personally by the voter, the completed application must be received by the Clerk of the District no later than 5:00 P.M. on May 20, 2024. A list of all persons to whom absentee ballots have been issued will be available for inspection by any qualified voter of the District in the Office of the Clerk of the District between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. during the five days prior to the day of the Annual Meeting. 
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that applications for early mail ballots will be obtainable during school business hours from the District Clerk beginning April 1, 2024; completed applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. Early mail ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., prevailing time, on May 21, 2024. A list of persons to whom early mail ballots are issued will be available for inspection to qualified voters of the District in the office of the District Clerk through May 20, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays prior to the day set for the annual election and on May 21, 2024. 
AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that military voters who are qualified voters of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District may request an application for a military ballot from the District Clerk by mail to the Office of the Clerk of the District, 1738 Helderberg Trail, Berne, NY 12023, or by email to the District Clerk at   , or fax sent to 518-872-0938. In such request, the military voter may indicate their preference for receiving the application by mail, fax or email. A military voter must return the original military ballot application by mail to the Office of the Clerk of the District at 1738 Helderberg Trail, Berne, NY 12023. In order for a military voter to be issued a military ballot, a valid military ballot application must be received in the office of the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 26, 2024. Military ballot applications received in accordance with the foregoing will be processed in the same manner as a non-military ballot application under §2018-a of the Education Law. The application for military ballots may include the military voter’s preference for receipt of the military ballot by mail, fax or email.
