Thanks for supporting the Helderberg Kiwanis

To the Editor:

The Kiwanis Club of the Helderbergs would like to thank everyone who helped make our recent pancake breakfast fundraiser a great success.

Many thanks to our volunteers from the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Key Club, Pony Pals, the Helderberg Hilltowns Association, and local friends and family members who prepared and served the food, washed dishes, and handled other details.

Besides the interesting vendors inside the Knox firehouse, we had fun, outdoor activities like Sue Mason's pony rides and the Knox Youth Council Easter egg hunt.

Thanks to our returning, and new, community people who had breakfast with us.  It's always good to see so many familiar faces and meet new people, too.

Additionally, our breakfast was aided by the generous support of the Knox Fire Company and Ladies' Auxiliary, Stewart's (which donated ice cream), the town of Berne (which lent a grill), and local maple syrup producers — Mountain Winds Farm, Malachi Farm, and Lounsbury family farm.

A combination of all the groups mentioned above makes it possible for the Kiwanis Club of the Helderbergs to accomplish our many community-based projects.
