Wanted: Kids’ clothes donations for spring and summer

To the Editor:
The Helderberg Kiwanis is planning a “Spring Edition” of the Hilltowns Clothing Project at Woodmans Hall at 980 County Route 401, Westerlo, on Friday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., focusing on spring and summer clothes and footwear.

Our “Spring Edition” will have the same purpose as the fall event — to assist Hilltowners in finding free, good-quality clothing for themselves and their families

The Clothing Project is coordinated with the Hilltowns Community Resource Center, which provides food pantry, information, referral, advocacy, and emergency assistance to Hilltowns residents.

A coordinated project at St. Pius X Church in Loudonville donates clothing for the event.

We are particularly in need of more children’s spring/summer clothes and footwear. We ask local residents to donate good quality, outgrown children’s summer clothes and shoes. Please bring donations to Woodmans Hall in Westerlo from Monday, April 8, to Tuesday, April 9.

Monetary donations are voluntary and directly benefit the Hilltowns Community Resource Center.

For more information, please contact Peggy Christman at or 518-365-7455 or Debra Barnes Breitenbach at or 519-313-2621.

Thank you for your support!
