On Friday, April 5, the Guilderland boys’ tennis team kicked off its season against the Blue Bison of Shaker at Shaker High School on a cold and windy afternoon. The Dutch fell, 5 to 4.

On Tuesday morning, April 2, the Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team opened up its 2024 season at home as the team took on Albany High School at Guilderland High School. The Dutch didn’t have any trouble all game as they sailed to a 17-2 win.

On Saturday, March 30, the Guilderland boys’ lacrosse team traveled to Cicero-North Syracuse for its season opener against the Northstars. The Dutch’s late rally fell short in their 11-5 loss.

This past weekend, members of the Guilderland indoor track team competed against other elite runners throughout the country in the New Balance Nationals in Boston, Massachusetts.

On Monday afternoon, Guilderland High School hosted their first annual Pickleball tournament. The four-hour event organized by physical education teacher and coach Debra Murray featured 20 intermediate and advanced teams and 16 beginner and staff teams.

On Saturday, March 2, the Guilderland indoor track team competed at the Staten Island Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex against the best of New York State. The Dutch will be bringing home 12 medals.

On the weekend of March 1, the Guilderville boys’ swim team traveled to Ithaca College for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association swim and dive championships. Guilderville tied for 14th in the state with only four swimmers.

Last Wednesday, Feb. 28, the Guilderland Unified bowling squad competed against Shaker at Town ’n’ Country in Guilderland. Dutch Unified won 2538-2481 in total pins and 5-to-4 in games.

On Monday, Feb. 26, four Guilderland Nordic skiers competed against other New York State Nordic skiers at Mount VanHoevenberg in Lake Placid.

On Saturday, Feb. 24, Guilderland and Berne-Knox-Westerlo cheer teams competed against 32 Section 2 teams in the championships at Shenendehowa High School. Guilderland finished third among five teams in Class A and BKW finished second among seven teams in Class D.
