Last Wednesday, May 1, the Guilderland softball team hosted a huge Suburban Council matchup against Shenendehowa. The Dutch used two home runs and showed their toughness against the undefeated Plainsmen and pulled off a big win, 8 to 5.
On Saturday, May 4, the Guilderland outdoor track team competed at the 57th Harry Koch Colonie Relay Carnival at Colonie High School. The girls won with 128 points and the boys finished fourth with 63.50 points.
On Friday, May 3, the Voorheesville Blackbirds baseball team hosted the Lansingburgh Knights in a Colonial Council matchup at Dutchmen Field in Guilderland Center. The Blackbirds tried to rally but the Knights ended that rally in the Birds’ 7-to-5 loss.
On Thursday, May 2, the Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team hosted the Ballston Spa Scotties for Senior Night to thank the four graduating seniors. From the opening faceoff, the Dutch dominated play and defeated the Scotties, 17 to 2.
On Saturday, April 27, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo track team traveled to Granville High School to compete in the Granville Blue and Gold Invitational. The boys’ finished second with 96 points while the girls finished fourth with 64 points.
On Friday, April 26, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo baseball team hosted the Galway Golden Eagles. The Bulldogs fought hard till the sixth-inning was their downfall. The Bulldogs’ fell 11-to-5.
