Ruth Anne Slatcher-Burby

ALTAMONT — Ruth Anne Slatcher-Burby, whose true passion and life’s work was raising her children, died on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at St. Peter’s Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.

ALTAMONT — Beth and Sylvester Schiltz, a loving couple, both died this month.

“They enjoyed many things together, including feeding the birds and growing flowers,” said Mr. Schiltz’s daughter, Donna Schadow.

Beth M. Schiltz died on Saturday, March 4, 2023. She was 81.

After a life of adventure, Florence Victoria Grubb Winn, of Willsboro, New York, died on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from Alzheimer’s. She was 94.

Florence was born on Aug. 2, 1928 in Syracuse, New York, joining her mother, Virginia, and her brother, Douglas, to create a family of three.

EAST BERNE — Edith Williamson, a loving mother and grandmother, died peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023. She was 95.

She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Elsie Bartels and the wife of the late Merlin Williamson.

Daniel Albert Tribley, formerly of Altamont, and residing in Ronkonkoma on Long Island, loved nature, especially the ocean, and he could build and fix almost anything.

He died on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He was 61.

GLENMONT — Thomas E. Stevens died peacefully the evening of Saturday, March 11, 2023, of complications from a stroke that began January of this year. His wife, Debbie, was at his side. He was 73.

ALBANY — Marcy L. (Crosier-Grippin) Ashline of Albany, formerly of Berne, died on Thursday, March 9, at St. Peter’s Hospital with her loving family by her bedside. She was 60.

Born in Albany on July 11, 1962, she was the daughter of Margaret and the late George Lagrange-Crosier. She was the beloved wife of John Ashline.

 

BERNE — Clifford Lloyd Whitely, of Berne, was an Army veteran with a love for the outdoors and a dedication to the family he created with his wife of 52 years. Mr. Whitely died on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the age of 75. 

GUILDERLAND — Audrey L. Kearns of Guilderland died peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023, at her residence. She was 62.

She was born on March 9, 1961 in Schenectady, the daughter of the late William S. and Doris E. Vojnar. A 1979 Guilderland High School graduate, she attended Houston Community College.

EAST BERNE — Anthony “Tony” M. Delligan Jr. of East Berne died peacefully with his family by his side at his brother’s house on Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, under hospice care. He was 60.

Son of the late Anthony “Tony” M. Delligan Sr. and Mary F. (née McCullough) Delligan, he was born on Sept. 11,1962 in Albany.

William “Buck” Criscone of Rotterdam and Altamont, died at home on Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was 75.

He was born in Albany to the late Sylvester and Virginia Criscone.

Beatrice C. Crounse

GUILDERLAND — Beatrice C. (Coffey) Crounse of Rack Road in Schoharie, previously of Guilderland, died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland, where she resided for the past couple of years. She was 100.
