Hone Coworks in Great Oaks Office Park will be home to the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce on Aug. 1.

GUILDERLAND — The town’s chamber of commerce will move on Aug. 1 to Hone Coworks in Great Oaks Office Park, and on July 17 will start selling the office furniture from its current location in Star Plaza.

“The move to Hone will allow us to leverage the very latest meeting technology, first-class communal spaces, and a convenient location to enhance gatherings, modernize operations, and improve service to our members and community," said Sandra Dollard, director of the Guilderland Chamber, in a release.

Hone, owned by The Rosenblum Companies, is located off of Church Road, just west of the Northway, and to the south of Western Avenue. The complex with 12,000 square feet of furnished offices, co-working space, and meeting rooms, opened in September 2020 in the depth of the pandemic.

Rosenblum plans to build a five-story apartment building with 105 units on the 17-acre Great Oaks property, which is already home to three office buildings. The 171,000-square-foot new building will have 117 underground parking spaces, a fitness center, a community room, bike storage, and an outdoor patio.

As Rosenblum turns the office park into a mixed-use neighborhood, the developer has taken to calling the project an “Eco Park.” For example, Rosenblum will be using energy-efficient Passive House construction.

The sale of office items and furniture at the chamber’s Star Plaza site, at 2050 Western Ave., suite 201, will run from 9 a.m. to noon on July 17, 18, and 19.

Items for sale include a reception desk, a conference table and chairs, executive desks, a file cabinet, a bookshelf, and office chairs. All sales are final and buyers must remove items by July 27.

The chamber will host an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m.at its new home.
