VOORHEESVILLE — Shirley (née Atkins) Casey, a wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse who over five decades ran a small-town medical practice with her husband in the heart of Voorheesville, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was 92.

KNOX — Mr. Clyde T. “The Hurricane” Hallock Jr. of Knox, a hard-working and generous man, died on Friday, May 27, 2022, in Lecanto, Florida. He was 86.

He was born June 4, 1935 in Albany, the son of Clyde and Frances (née Acker) Hallock.

KNOX — Katherine Elizabeth Bartley, who had been a teacher and language arts coordinator for the Bethlehem schools, loved being a grandmother.

She died peacefully in her home in Dickinson, Texas on Dec. 10, 2021 after a year-long battle with colon cancer.

BERNE — “Carl Walter Walls, lovingly sarcastic husband, father, and grandfather; respected brother and uncle; veteran; and chronically disappointed Mets fan, died surrounded by his wife and children on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the young age of 76 (four in Carl years),” his family wrote in a tribute.

RENSSELAERVILLE — Roger P. “Rog” Winn Sr., a jack-of-all-trades who was generous to his family and friends, died on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He was 74.

He was born on Jan. 24, 1948, a son of the late Loren and Nellie Winn.

Ruth Van De Weert (née Laroe) — who “treasured her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother” — “entered the arms of her Savior on Saturday, April 23, 2022 after a brief illness,” her family wrote in a tribute. She was 96.

Joan M. Healey died surrounded by her loving husband and her two sons on Monday, April 11, 2022. She was 58.

“Joan was a loving mother and devoted wife and a proud grandmother,” her family wrote in a tribute. “She truly loved her family.”

She was the beloved daughter of Melvin Butterbaugh and Barbara Haverly.

Yvonne S. Lustenhouwer, a skilled gardener and crafter, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, April 7, 2022. She was 74. 

“Yvonne was loved by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed,” her family wrote in a tribute.

“One day you were here, the next you were gone,” wrote the family of David ‘Bud’ Spiak in a tribute.

Born on Aug. 23, 1985, he died on Saturday, April 2, 2022, his daughter’s eighth birthday. He was 36.
