Three minors in a separate U-Haul vehicle — stopped near Exit 24 of the Thruway — have now been arrested. Six minors in a U-Haul that crashed near St. Peter’s Hospital had already been arrested, and one more minor, who Troopers say fled from the crashed U-Haul, was also added to the list of arrests in the case. 

Sue McDonough began her career as a New York State Trooper in 1978, specializing in animal cruelty cases. McDonough worked as a wildlife rehabilitator for 15 years and believes wild animals are better protected — in a program where rehabilitators are licensed and their facilities inspected — than domestic animals.

GUILDERLAND — After a car chase followed by a chase on foot, New York State Troopers arrested three young men in the early-morning hours of Sunday, July 28.

A release from the state police says events unfolded this way:

Antwan Henry of Rensselaer faces two felony charges of driving while intoxicated, one under Leandra’s Law and one for having a previous conviction.

Patricia M. Groeber, an Altamont resident, joined the State Troopers in 1986. She was recently appointed to the highest post ever held by a woman in the New York State Police — First Deputy Superintendent.

Herb Frauenberger, a retired New York Police officer now living in Guilderland, was on the scene when the Beatle was shot.

New York State Police public information officer Mark Cepiel said the investigation in the murder of a family of four last October was still ongoing and there was no new information. But, he said, all evidence had been removed from the house, and the owners were free to do as they pleased with it.

To get ahead of unsafe snowmobiling in the state's wooded trails, police trained at Camp Cass in Rensselaerville are ramping up their presence in the snow.

“Personal responsibility” was the term used Monday morning throughout the Remembering Our Loved Ones event held at Ed Frank’s Beacon of Hope in Altamont where Frank teaches teens about the gruesome effects of driving drunk or drugged.

A Voorheesville man was arrested last week for alleged sexual misconduct with a teenage girl.
