KNOX— The yet-to-be-named rebuilt building in the Knox hamlet is nearing completion.

Owner and town supervisor Vasilios Lefkaditis has a list of possible tenants for his 3,000-square-foot building, which is  being divided into three 1,000-square-foot commercial spaces.

New Scotland is beginning its search for a consultant to help make its idea of a hamlet center a reality.

Thomas Delp, committee chairman for the Rensselaerville water system, said the problem of large demands from the storage tank seem to be gone now that a leak has been shut off for an unoccupied home.

What's old is new again. Walkable communities, where businesses and homes are clustered together, can thrive again with proper zoning. The Knox Town board should approve a business district in the hamlet.
