On Friday, Feb. 9, the Guilderland Dutchman bowling competed in the Section 2, Class A championships at Boulevard Bowl in Schenectady.

On Friday, Feb. 2, the Guilderland boys’ basketball team hosted Senior Night as the Dutch took on Colonie, the top team in the Suburban Council. Guilderland couldn’t break the very athletic and tough defense of the Raiders and fell, 77 to 37.

On Saturday, Jan. 27, the Guilderland indoor team battled other division 1 teams in the Section 2, division 1 sectional championships held at Hudson Valley Community College. Guilderland girls, with 129 points, have a 14 point lead over Saratoga as they wait for the throwers to go, on Feb.

On Saturday morning, Jan. 27, the Guilderland cheerleading team took part in the Karde World Kompetition at Saratoga High School. The Dutch competed in Class A division where Guilderland finished second.

On Friday, Jan. 26, Guilderland girls’ wrestlers Nadia Hawrylchak and Aniella Kennedy competed against New York State’s best in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Girls Wrestling Invitational being held at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse.

On Tuesday, Jan. 23, the Guilderland-Voorheesville boys’ swim team held their senior night honoring their four seniors. From the first race till the last, the Guilderville boys broke four pool records (all three relays and Isak Brkanovic in the 50 free) in their 100-81 win.

On Friday, Jan. 19, the Guilderland gymnastics team hosted Bethlehem for Senior Night at Lynnwood Elementary School. The Dutch showed off their grace and smiles but fell 154.575 to 150.375.

Last Thursday, Jan. 18, the Guilderland Dutchmen traveled to Averill Park to battle the Warriors. The Dutch competed hard in every match but fell 54 to 15.

On Sunday, Jan. 14, the Guilderland girls’ wrestling team competed in the first-ever Section 2 sectional championships to qualify for the New York State Girls Invitational at the SRC Arena and Events Center in Syracuse on Jan. 26.

On Saturday, Jan. 13, the Guilderland Indoor Track team participated in the Jack Reed Showcase at Nazareth College in Rochester. The girls’ team took the title with 101 points, 40 more than Corning, while the boys finished in 12th with 23 points.
