On Saturday, April 13, about 2,500 runners will participate in the first Helderberg-to-Hudson Half-Marathon. The race starts at New Scotland Town Park and ends at Jennings Landing in Albany.

The Voorheesville Dionysians spring musical, “Mamma Mia!” is pulling double duty this year. The group’s Saturday, March 22, performance will also be the drama club’s 50th anniversary celebration.

B’nai Sholom Reform Congregation’s Fair Trade Sale, Judaica Sale, and clothing and blood drives sare all scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 11.

BETHLEHEM — The Delmar Community Orchestra, under the direction of Michael Blostein, will present a fall concert on Monday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m. at the Delmar Reformed Church at 386 Delaware Ave. in Delmar.

The concert, which will include both classical selections and pops, is free and open to the public.

Rensselaerville — Last year, the people of Vieques were struggling to survive the impacts of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The people of Rensselaerville and the Hilltowns stepped up to help.

ALTAMONT — This week, Wayne Knapp and Kathy Mack, a couple from Guilderland, will be strolling the grounds of Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia plantation, and they will also be exploring, on foot, the nation’s capital of country music: Nashville, Tennessee.

RENSSELAERVILLE — The Rensselaerville Presbyterian Church announces its schedule of summer services every Sunday from July 1 through Sept. 2.  Services are held at 11 a.m. in the church located on Main Street (Route 351) in Rensselaerville. Everyone is welcome.

VOORHEESVILLE — The Voorheesville Village Quilters will present their 2018 Quilt Show, “Joined by Threads VIII,” on July 14  and 15 at St. Matthew’s Parish Center in Voorheesville.  

RENSSELAERVILLE — Rensselaerville will hold its annual town-wide picnic on Sunday, June 10, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Bayard Elsbree Park on Route 145 in Preston Hollow to celebrate the unity of its five hamlets: Cooksburg, Medusa, Preston Hollow, Potter Hollow, and Rensselaerville.
