The Schoharie Valley Singers will present “Joy to the World and Peace on Earth” concerts on Friday, Dec. 13, at Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, and on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church.

VOORHEESVILLE —  The First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville is holding two Christmas concerts.

On Sunday, Dec. 15, the 29th Annual Voorheesville Community Christmas Festival will be held at 7 p.m. with a choral concert of holiday music, featuring ReVamped.

WESTERLO — The Westerlo Reformed Church will have a free Christmas music program for anyone who enjoys great Christmas music. Wally Jones and Jeanne Ryan will provide beautiful music on Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

The senior lunch — of lasagna, salad, and dessert — will be Dec. 12 at noon.

DELMAR — The Mendelssohn Club of Albany is searching for a new conductor to lead the chorus for the 2020-2021 season beginning on June 1, 2020.

The club’s long-time conductor, Jeffrey Vredenburg, will retire following the annual spring concert in May of 2020. He has conducted the chorus for 21 years. 

NEW SCOTLAND — The Mendelssohn Club of Albany will perform a concert, “An Afternoon of Music,” at the New Scotland Presbyterian Church at 2010 New Scotland Road in Slingerlands on Sunday, May 5, at 3 p.m. followed by a reception with light refreshments.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

BETHLEHEM — The Delmar Community Orchestra, under the direction of Vincent Bonafede, will present a spring concert on Monday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Town Hall at 445 Delaware Ave. in Delmar.

The concert, which will feature classical, pops, and movie music, is free and open to the public.

The PTA is trying something different by hosting a well known children's songwriter and singer to perform a fund-raising concert.
