We are extremely grateful

Leaders lauded: Voorheesville students were among hundreds of Key Clubbers from across the state attending a March conference at the Desmond Hotel, an annual event sponsored by the Kiwanis of New York State. Representing Voorheesville were, from left, Alexandra Cunningham, Nicholas Murphy, Laura Patak, Eliza Jobin-Davis, Madeline Conroy, and Olivia Sheppard. The local club won two awards. “Our club takes great joy and pride in serving our community through good works,” said the Voorheesville advisor, Michele Bintz.

To the Editor:

This past weekend, the officers of Voorheesville Key Club (President Nicholas Murphy, Vice President Eliza Jobin-Davis, Secretary Laura Patak, Treasurer Alexandra Cunningham, Webmaster Olivia Sheppard, and I as the editor) attended the annual Leadership Training Conference at the Desmond Hotel in Colonie.

While there, our Key Club earned two awards, the first being for our annual Bells for Life event at Crossgates Mall and the second because of our Turkey Food Drive every November.

We are extremely grateful for everyone who participated in these events, as they brought forth the first awards we have ever received at the annual conference.
