To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to applaud Vasilios Lefkaditis for his community service. He is a man who cares about our community, our school, and all of our children.

My grandson played T-ball on the team Vas managed for two years. Vas was patient, understanding, and caring. He taught the children sportsmanship and how to work together to get the job done. The children loved being around Vas.  It was a very enjoyable experience for all of us.

All of the above along with Vas’s being a very knowledgeable man when dealing with finances and his desire to make our Hilltown communities and Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School a place to be proud of, are the qualities I, for one, feel make a good board of education member.

I would be proud to have Vasilios Lefkaditis serve as a BKW Board of Education member for another term. I give him my full support in the upcoming vote on May 20 and encourage you to do the same. I am hopeful that Vas will be elected to serve our community for another term on the BKW School board.
