Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

In response to Marcia Ranieri’s letter printed in The Altamont Enterprise on Oct. 9, regarding crosswalks, she did not mention if cars were not stopping while she was in the crosswalk.

To the Editor:

I want to thank Mr. Jordan J. Michael for the great article in The Enterprise on Oct. 2, [“Chain of command broken: Who decides the fate of high school coaches?”] and also the editor for the editorial on the second page [“The public should be heard, not herded” — both online at Altamont Enterprise.com].

To the Editor:

I have come to love Altamont, in a very short time, as a place of beauty, peace, and strong community relations. People respect each other (with freedom to disagree), help one another, and watch out for each other.

Yet.. — no one stops for people crossing the crosswalks on Main Street.

To the Editor:

Thank you, Altamont Enterprise, for printing the picture of Bill VanAlstyne and related information regarding child safety seats on page 25 “ Safety First” in the Oct. 2, 2014 edition [online at AltamontEnterprise.com].

To the Editor:

Thank you for the terrific exposure you gave The Fresh Air Fund in The Altamont Enterprise this year by featuring our Volunteer Host Family Program in your community as we celebrated our 138th summer of serving New York City children.
