Kenneth D. “Kenny” White

KNOX — Kenneth D. “Kenny” White, a kindergartner at Berne-Knox-Westerlo, of Thacher Park Road in Knox, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at home.

Born on Aug. 22, 2009 in Schenectady; he was the son of Jayson and Christine VanAlstyne White.

“Kenneth my son,” his mother wrote in a tribute, “You will always be the most important part of my heart and memories. I’ll forever cherish the moments that I held you in my arms. You graced me from day one with your smile and your charm.

“Now you’re up in heaven with all the angels there above, so go and rest in peace, my boy. I’ll send you all my love. You will forever be my angel. My sweet baby boy, you may be gone, but not forgotten, and you will live in my heart forever more. Love always, Mommy.”

He is survived by his parents; one brother, Jaydon White; three sisters, Jaylize, Cheyanne, his twin, and Christine White. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Freeman VanAlstyne, and his paternal grandmother, Mary Rotgers. Aunts, uncles, and many cousins also survive.

His brother, Jayson White, died before him as did his maternal grandmother, Kathy Ortiz, and paternal grandfather, Rexlee White.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Riley Mortuary Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, New York.

Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, New York.

Relatives and friends may call at the Riley Mortuary from 8:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
