The Voorheesville Central School District in a letter to parents said that “based on the timing of when” a person newly diagnosed with COVID-19 was “last at school, the Albany County Department of Health has indicated no need for further action, on behalf of the school, to have school community members quarantine.”

Guilderland-Voorheesville girls swim team under the helm of Jenna Hyary have started the shorten season 4-0 with all their meets virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Guilderville won both meets, 118-47 against Troy-Averill Park, and 102-81 against Schenectady-Colonie.

No longer counting the time until its deadline in days but hours, the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy stands about $50,000 short of its $1.2 million fund-raising target to buy the former Bender melon farm.
