The town and its residents need to focus on more than a mall as they chart Guilderland’s future.

ALTAMONT — The Altamont Community Food Pantry will now be open from 4 to 5 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of every month; changes may occur due to holidays.

Crossgates’ tenants in 2020 reported total sales of $266.5 million, down from  $416.8 million in 2019, according to court papers — dueling appraisals of the mall from the town and Crossgates. 

Before the trial, on March 30, Watervliet had made a settlement offer in which the 2019 assessment of the main reservoir parcel would be reduced to $6 million, the 2020 assessment would be reduced to $5 million, and the 2021 assessment would be reduced to $4 million.
