GUILDERLAND — Shirley Beatrice Shafer, a gracious woman who loved to dance, died, on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at home, with her husband, Raymond Shafer Sr., by her side. She was 90.

Mrs. Shafer was born to Bessie (née Colliton) and Lewis Barber on April 15, 1924, in Duanesburg, on her parents’ Bozenkill Farm.

A state report, using data from 2013, shows Hamilton Square had employees in 151 full-time equivalent positions. There was no increase in the number of employees in the shopping plaza since the project began.

Now that the kiddies are back in school we at the Hilltowns Community Resource Center are focusing on the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

GUILDERLAND — Nine Guilderland High School students were selected for this year’s All State Music Ensembles: Angelo Amore, Leonard Bopp, Andrew Dame, Therese Giordano, Hannah Hernandez, Josh Kahn, Will Wang, Allegra Wu, and Michael Zhu.

Students from Altamont Cooperative Preschool visited Indian Ladder Farms in New Scotland to celebrate fall.
