Monday, Feb. 17, was my Zoey day for the week. Today, Zoey turned eight months old. She still has no teeth but they’re coming. My mother always said it’s better to cut teeth later. She thought they would be healthier and stronger. We’ll see.

To the Editor:

Saturday afternoon, family, friends, and supporters came together as not just a community but as a family, if only for the afternoon, for Ken Fortuin.  While the fund-raiser's time was scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m., people began arriving before one and continued to arrive right up until almost five.

“Old Man Winter” certainly had a frosty grip on us during January and February. Fortunately, the freezing temperatures, frequent snows, and a “bug named Stomach” did not interrupt the activity at the Knox Nursery School.

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Little League will be holding its second annual fund-raiser party on Feb. 22 at the Maple Inn in East Berne from 8 a.m. to noon.

I had a very enjoyable day on Monday, Feb. 10. My granddaughter, Kassi Neal, came for breakfast. I trimmed her hair, which is long and beautiful. Then she filled out paperwork for the Star program and we dropped it off to Kevin Crosier at the town hall in Berne.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo's basketball season came to an end after getting out-muscled by Rensselaer.

Monday, Feb. 3, was my Zoey day for the week. I had to go to the bank so I bundled up Zoey and we took the news to Altamont and then drove to KeyBank in Voorheesville.

I introduced Zoey to all the staff at the bank and all agreed with me that she’s a beautiful baby.

Our February meeting had a lot of activity going on. I think it was just getting out of the house and seeing everyone put smiles on all our faces.

To the Editor:

I feel I can speak for myself and Kristen Reynders (owner of Hitmans Towing) when I say thank you to all who showed up at the Feb. 11 Knox Town Board meeting on her behalf.  Thanks to those of you who spoke in support of Hitmans and businesses in Knox.

To the Editor:

I am writing in response to the recent publications about the funding for our Hilltown Community Resource Center, your most recent article being named “County to lend counseling hand for BKW.”
