Notice is hereby given that I have received the tax list and warrant for the collection of school taxes in the Voorheesville Central School District.

I will receive all taxes for a period of 60 days beginning September 2, 2014 at the place listed below.  During the 29 day period from September 2, 2014 through September 30, 2014 inclusive, there will be no penalty charge for the collection of the tax.

From October 1, 2014 through October 31, 2014, in accordance with Section 2130 of the Education Law and Section 1328 of the Real Property Tax Law, penalty will be charged at a rate of 2%.

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Town of New Scotland, New York will hold a public hearing pursuant to Chapter 190, Article IX, Section 190-73 of the Zoning Law on the following proposition:

A Public Hearing for Variance Application # 487 

Referral: Area Variance # 487: Application submitted by Robert Samson to request twenty feet of relief from Article XIII, Section 190-99 of the town zoning law that states each buildable lot shall have no less then fifty foot of frontage on a public road.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Guilderland will accept sealed bids for: NY State Route 146 Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project, PIN 1757.33.  The project consists of the construction of 3,500 ft of concrete pathway on the south side of Route 146 through Guilderland Center and 350 ft of sidewalk on the north side of Route 146 at the northeast corner of the intersection with School Road. Other project features include reconstruction of curb ramps, crossings, and pedestrian push buttons to meet ADA and MUTCD requirements, landscaping and ground mounted sign installation.

Contract will be awarded based upon the lowest qualified bid.  Contract Documents, including Invitation to Bidders, Instructions to Bidders, Wage Rates, Bid Documents, Agreement, Special Notes, Specifications, Contract Drawings and any Addenda, may be examined at no expense at the office of Creighton Manning Engineering, 2 Winners Circle, Albany, NY 12205 or at the Town of Guilderland Town Hall, 5209 Western Turnpike, Guilderland, NY 12084.

Plans and specifications may be obtained at the Town of Guilderland Town Hall, 5209 Western Turnpike, Guilderland, New York during business hours.  For each complete set of drawings, specifications, and bid forms, there is a non-refundable fee of $50.00. Checks shall be made payable to the Town of Guilderland for each set of contract documents so obtained. CDs containing the bid materials are available for no charge. Pick up of Plans and Specifications to be mailed must be arranged for individually with the shipping company. The Town of Guilderland will not mail Plans and Specifications.

Bids to be considered must be received in a sealed envelope at the office of Jean Cataldo, Town Clerk, Town of Guilderland, Town Hall, 5209 Western Turnpike (mailing address: P.O. Notice is hereby given that date for sealed bids has been extended until  3:00 PM local time on August 21st, 2014 at the Office of the Town Clerk, Town of New Scotland Town Hall, 2029 New Scotland Road, Slingerlands, New York 12159 and publicly opened and read aloud.  The proposals are for:

NEW SALEM WATER DISTRICT - WATER DISTRIBUTION AND STORAGE PROJECT – CONTRACT 1 - SITE PLUMBING - Contract generally consists of the installation of approximately 18,000 lf of new 6-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch ductile iron and/or HDPE water main along NYS Route 85, NYS Route 85A, Old New Salem Road, New Salem South Road and Rockhill Road, a 172,000 gallon above-ground, glass-fused-to-steel finished water storage tank,  and installation of water services from the main to the edge of customer’s property line.

NEW SALEM WATER DISTRICT – WATER DISTRIBUTION AND STORAGE PROJECT – CONTRACT 2 – BUILDING PLUMBING – Generally consists of plumbing improvements and retrofit to accommodate installation of proposed Booster Pump system in an existing building owned by the Town of New Scotland.  

NEW SALEM WATER DISTRICT – WATER DISTRIBUTION AND STORAGE PROJECT – CONTRACT 3 – ELECTRICAL AND SCADA – Generally consists of Electrical improvements to accommodate installation of proposed Booster Pump system, emergency generator interconnection, and SCADA equipment in an existing building owned by the Town of New Scotland and at the proposed Tank Site.  Also generally consists of SCADA system improvements for operation of the water system at both the proposed Booster Pump Station building and at the Tank Site.

NOTICE IF HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of August, 2014, the Town Board of the Town of New Scotland duly adopted a resolution, an abstract of which follows, which resolution is subject to a Permissive Referendum pursuant to Section 64(2) of the Town Law of the State of New York.

The following is a summary of the resolution adopted by the Town Board of the Town of New Scotland on August 13, 2014:  The resolution authorizes the sale of approximately .55 acres of vacant land on Hill Road, in the Town of New Scotland, New York, which is part of Tax Map No.: 82.-3-2, to MJ Biernacki Builders, LLC for the sum of $3,000.00.

A copy of the resolution summarized herein is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Office of the Town Clerk, located at the Town Hall, Town of New Scotland, New York.
