Guilderville swim team slices past Albany

The Guilderville swim team ended its regular season on Monday with a victory over Albany to finish with an overall record of 6-4.

Graceful in water: Guilderville’s Monica Beach competed in the 200-yard individual medley on Monday afternoon; here Beach uses the backstroke to finish second with a time of 2:32.28. Teammate Belen Marriaga won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:29.01.

Up, up and away: Monday afternoon, the Guilderville swim team took on Albany on Senior Night at Voorheesville. Here, Guilderville’s Lindsey Griffith jumps off the diving board in one of her attempts. Griffith won the diving portion with a total score of 181.25 points and Guilderville went on to win the met over Albany, 100 to 71.

Slicing through the water: Guilderville’s Kelly Gao competes in the 50-yard freestyle on Monday afternoon against Albany at home. Gao won with a time of 25.58 and Guilderville won, 100 to 71.

Preparing to dive: On Monday afternoon, the Guilderville swim team competed against Albany at home for Senior Night. Here, Guilderville’s Alexandra Cunningham, with her arms out, gets ready to attempt her first dive. Cunningham finished second in diving with a score of 153.80 points and then won in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:08.06.
