A moment of congratulation is shared between Secondary School Principal Brian Corey and fourth-grade teacher Agnes Zellin in front of an applauding crowd at the Berne-Knox-Westerlo auditorium on Oct. 6. Zellin, who last school year obtained certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, received a Board of Education Recognition Award, along with 15 other faculty, staff, and volunteers.

Denise Robinson, typically working in her subdued role as district clerk during board meetings, was given a recognition award on Oct. 6 for her other job, as secretary for BKW's special education. With the high turn over in that part of the district, board President Joan Adriance said, Robinson has been its familiar face.
